I am quite impressed by France based radioblogclub’s muzic streaming services. Users can stream music directly from their site. They act as a middleman where other bloggers or folks who store their music online can link their muzic to radioblogclub’s site. Some sites even offer downloads from radioblogclub.

Ultimately for end users like me, I like the fact that the muzic streams so fast (with so-so quality) and once a song finishes, an automatic user generated playlist takes over.

But is this service legal? After all, aren’t they an aggregator of some kind?

  1. It had been closed 2 weeks ago by the french administration (well, the “french RIAA” put them under pressure), even though they were willing to give back a part of their profits to the artists. Now it’s up again, but they intend to be hosted abroad.
It’s a wonderful tool to discover new music since you can listen any kind of songs instanteneously and see how you like it.
    Plus, it’s french :o).
