Facebook rumours for Tuesday/Wednesday’s announcement…

Stumble it! Del.icio.us it!

So Facebook might be having a sales conference and a tech-department all-hands meeting on Tuesday (US time). What could they be up-to? Are they going to announce something later on?

Well, I had a mini discussion with a pretty reliable source and here’s his take on what Facebook could be announcing, in no order, in the next couple of days:

1) Facebook’s translation of their site into different languages. We know they’re pretty big in the US, UK and Canada. These translated sites could put them in a better position against MySpace and Orkut.

2) Facebook FriendsList could be announced. Facebook announced that they’ll allow users to group friends into different baskets depending on relationships.

3) Facebook investment. Will it be Google, Microsoft, Yahoo! or a bunch of private investors?

Also, to top it off, we’ll be in touch with Dave Morin, Senior Platform Manager at Facebook, tomorrow evening via video conferencing at the Asia’s first Facebook Developer Garage. And he’s close with Mark Zuckerberg. Could he have anything to announce then? Well we’ll have to wait and see. In the mean time, I’ll keep working on that long list of questions. :)
