I am linking you to Ko Htike’s blog where he narrates the current situation in Yangdon (and Burma) as they happen. He has a network of around 10 or so (underground) friends who are supplying him with information such as pictures, videos and so on.
Let’s hope that this situation ends peacefully.

One of my entrepreneurial idols has passed away a couple of days ago. Anita Roddick, the founder of The Body Shop, died from brain haemorrhage in England on Sep 10.
Known to be very charitable, she has contributed immensely to children organisations The COTE (Children on the Edge) organisation she founded being one..and countless others. Her last interview was with The Daily Telegraph’s Emma Thelwell, conducted few weeks ago. On a more personal note, I have reproduced a stunning piece of article she wrote for the Financial Times November last year. Rest in piece Anita… and we will remember you for times to come.

Yes it’s true. OK we know it’s some personal assistant doing all the dirty work, but US presidential candidate Barack Obama has now joined LinkedIn in a bid to reach the masses. Oh ya and btw, Obama is three degrees away from me.
He was also cheeky enough to pop a question ” How can the next president better help small business and entrepreneurs thrive?” and got 100 answers immediately. Wait I just refreshed the page and it’s 107 replies. OK Refresh page again…and 112 replies! Amazing. Go see for yourself. LOL.
President 2.0 indeed.

Business 2.0 recently came out with an article about some companies that will disrupt the status quo. My favourites are the 3D printing and Zink. Zink would be really useful if it’s going to be embedded into cameras. What is your favourite?

I recently participated in the Board of European Students of Technology (BEST) Summer Engineering Competition in Timisoara, Romania for a couple of weeks. BEST is a non-profit organisation by students for students. I had the time of my life and met plenty of people from all over Europe. So if you’re a student studying in Europe and eager for some action, you know courses, design, debates, parties and stuff, or up for something cool, lively, academic, cross cultural and so on, I suggest you have a look at their Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter courses.
